What started 30 years ago as an illegal rave, has been on a journey upwards ever since. Today PollerWiesen hosts 5 events with over 20.000 visitors, opening the season in April and ending with multiple boat parties in the late summer. After two years of total standstill caused by the pandemic, it was a good opportunity to come back with a refreshed PollerWiesen identity.

Keeping the established hero colors for each event category, the new design system consists of two layers: Animation and type. Motion compositions created by layered, distorted anime screen captures, remind of the dance floors colors, chaos and speed. Contrasted by a radically calm and typographic layer, the result is an unusually sophisticated identity for a contemporary techno festival.
